There are many methods used by Microsoft to popularize the Edge browser. Ads aside, Microsoft applications such as the popular email client Outlook may also suddenly start opening links in email messages in the Microsoft Edge browser.
If you use Chrome as the default browser in Windows and want the links you click in Outlook to open in the Chrome browser, just follow the steps below.
- Open the Outlook application. From the File menu, go to the Options section.
- Here, click on Advanced and in the pane that will open on the right, you will see that the Open hyperlinks from Outlook option is Microsoft Edge. Set this setting to Default Browser.
- Press the OK button.
After closing and reopening Outlook, when you click on the links in the e-mail messages, you will see that they open in Chrome.
